About our work

Transforming Lives Through Trauma-Informed Performing Arts Practice

At Mind Stage School Support, we understand the profound impact of trauma on children and their educational journeys. Our trauma-informed practice is designed specifically for those who have experienced previous trauma or are currently facing challenging situations.

Our arts based trauma informed programme is meticulously curated with insights from leading professionals in the field, including information from counsellors, CBT therapists, child psychologist expertise, science backed PEM programme, industry professional Nichola Brown, and education specialist Louise Herbert. This collaboration ensures that our approach is both evidence-based and tailored to meet the unique needs of each child.

The impact of our programme is significant. We have achieved a remarkable success rate in reintroducing children back into mainstream education, fostering improved attendance and behaviour. Our methods have been effective in reducing incidents of seclusion and expulsion, crucially supporting children in their return to a safe and supportive learning environment.

Moreover, our focus on trauma-informed practices leads to a notable decrease in the necessity for further mental health or wellbeing support. By addressing the root causes of distress and equipping children with the tools to manage their emotions, we empower them to thrive academically and socially. During our programme each child will have weekly access to a therapist included in the fee, and will also take courses towards bite sized qualifications.

We invite you to join us in creating a positive future for children who have faced trauma. Together, we can help them find their place in the educational landscape and pave the way for their success. Choose Mind Stage School Support — where healing and learning go hand in hand.
