What we do…
MindStage Support is a trauma-informed creative school practice that optimises mental health and well-being in children and young people.
At Mindstage Support, we collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of psychologists, psychotherapists, occupational health specialists, educational experts, and trauma-informed practitioners. Together, we’ve developed a unique 12-week program that has successfully reduced the need for CAMHS by 85%.
Trauma-Informed Care: We use evidence-based practices that prioritise the emotional safety of each child.
Engaging and Fun: Our sessions are interactive and use drama as a powerful vehicle to engage children, making learning and healing enjoyable.
Proven Results: In over 25 schools, we’ve seen significant improvements [98.5%] in children's mental health, reducing the need for more intensive interventions.
Holistic Approach: With our diverse team, we create individualised plans that address every aspect of a child's development.
Exploring emotions through creativity: Talking therapy doesn't work for everyone, particularly those who are neurodivergent. We offer alternative ways to explore and release emotions through drama and role play.
The Trauma-Informed Programme: Creating Safe Spaces for Healing and Growth
Our programme is delivered in schools by a trained Trauma-Informed Practitioner, providing children with a safe and supportive space to engage in meaningful sessions focused on emotional healing and growth.
Building Emotional Awareness and Self-Regulation
Through our sessions, children are given the opportunity to better understand their emotions and develop self-regulation techniques. We recognize that emotional responses can sometimes be overwhelming, and our program encourages children to explore and express their feelings in a way that is both safe and constructive.
Releasing Emotions and Managing Triggers
We create a space where children can release emotions that often lead to reactions, allowing them to reflect on what triggers these feelings. The program helps children understand the sources of their emotional responses, providing them with tools to manage these reactions more effectively.
Embracing the Process of Healing
One of the key aspects of our programme is helping children learn to work through their trauma, rather than focusing on reaching a "definitive healed state." We believe in the ongoing journey of healing, where children gain the resilience and coping strategies they need to navigate challenges. By acknowledging that healing is a continuous process, we empower children to feel more comfortable with their emotional journey, no matter where they are in the process.
While some children may be dealing with trauma, others may simply be struggling with emotions or difficulty self-regulating. Regardless of the challenges a child is facing, our programme offers a safe and supportive environment where they can begin to understand and manage their emotions.
Whether a child is experiencing emotional difficulties or working through trauma, we focus on helping them engage with their feelings and emotions in a constructive way. Our programme emphasises that emotional healing is a continuous process, not a destination. We help children feel comfortable with their emotional experiences and teach them how to navigate challenges in their own time and at their own pace.
